From the very beginning of the design process, our materials undergo a rigorous selection process, followed by technical tests to assess their longevity. These include tests for pilling resistance, performance during washing or dry cleaning according to our composition labels (colour fastness, colour bleeding, shrinkage, etc.), and seam slippage. We adapt these protocols to the specific nature and weight of each fabric, in order to guarantee it is fit for purpose and able to maintain its appearance, season after season.
The construction of our pieces also relies on precise assembly expertise. We pay particular attention to both the internal and external finishes: French seams, neat topstitching, and clean linings. These technical choices contribute to the garment's comfort and visual precision, as well as its longevity.
This requirement extends all the way to the final inspection: in addition to the quality controls integrated into the manufacturing process, part of our collections undergoes external inspections. A representative sample of the quantities produced is then taken according to strict inspection checklists. Each selected piece is subjected to a visual and dimensional check, and any defects are classified according to their level of criticality and assessed against defined acceptance thresholds. If the results are not compliant, production is suspended until the issue is rectified.
Finally, we always ensure we strike the right balance between materials with a lower environmental impact (recycled, organic…) and fine materials, recognised for their longevity.
